A tranquil black & white image of a winter sunset at the lone tree at Millarochy Bay, Loch Lomond.  I'd been in this location earlier in the day, but the light was harsher and less appealing.  I returned just before sunset hoping for softer lighting and more pleasing colours in the sky.  Due to the minimal amount of cloud the sunset wasn't the most spectacular, and it wasn't until the sun was below the horizon that I felt the best light occurred.  I chose to render the image in black & white as I feel it conveys the beauty & peacefulness of Loch Lomond enhanced by the gentle afterglow of the sunset far better without the distraction of colour.

Millarochy Bay is printed using Lucia Pro pigment inks and Hahnemühle Photo rag 308gsm fine art paper, allowing beautiful tonal reproduction and having museum quality archival properties. There will be only 25 examples each of limited edition prints.  Each will be numbered & signed.
